Thomas University is a four-year co-educational university that serves the post-secondary educational needs of south Georgia and north Florida. The university is located in Thomasville, Georgia.
At Thomas University the Associate of Science in Law Enforcement prepares students who are working as law enforcement or corrections officers for career enhancement or to pursue professional development at the baccalaureate level. With credit given for police academy training, students take as few as seven Core Curriculum courses (21 credits) to earn the A.S. degree which is applicable toward the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Thomas University.
TU does not charge out-of-state tuition, so whether you live in Georgia or elsewhere in the U.S. you pay the same tuition. Student financial aid is offered to assist in making higher education a reality for those who would be unable to attend college without financial assistance. At least 87 percent of Thomas University’s students receive some form of financial aid.
Thomas University also offers a number of scholarships to students. These scholarships are awarded on a limited basis, so remember to apply for the scholarship of your choice as early as possible.
We are part of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) Consortium and wholly dedicated to helping servicemembers and their families get college degrees. Military students can take courses in their off-duty hours at (or near) military installations in the United States, overseas, and on Navy ships.
Thomas University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate, bachelor, and master degrees.
"...in the big picture, people with associate degrees make more than people with high school diplomas. "
"Many students enroll in a 2-year college with the intention of transferring to a 4-year college and obtaining a bachelor’s degree."
"...the more degreed-education you have, the less likely you are to be unemployed."
